ModelLight AB was founded by Marcus and Malin Odell – a team both in life and at work, with a shared drive to make a real difference through knowledge, innovation, and care. The name ModelLight is no coincidence: it comes from their own names – Marcus Odell and Malin Odell. It doesn't get any simpler or more personal than that.

For us, it's not just about products – it's about the whole package. We want to offer the market's best solutions at a reasonable price, where personal service, training, and long-term support are an integral part of every purchase. Marcus Odell

Marcus is one of the founders of PharmaLight and subsequently ModelLight, and has been working with LED light therapy and LLLT since 2004. With over two decades of practical experience, he is today one of the most experienced professionals in the field in Europe. He is the inventor behind the Led Treatment Pad PEMF and Multi Treatment Blanket – products that combine LED light therapy with pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) and vibrating massage. Over the years, he has worked hands-on with treating horses, dogs, and humans, and knows from experience that the right knowledge and treatment plan are crucial for achieving the best possible results.

Malin Odell

Malin has worked with Marcus since 2008 and has played a central role in web, e-commerce, marketing, trade shows, and administration. After university studies, she took the step in 2024 to work full-time in the company – which marked the beginning of ModelLight AB. With a shared focus on quality, development, and customer relations, they are now building a company ready to grow in line with a rapidly developing international market in photobiomodulation.

A new era for light therapy in Sweden

In 2004, we introduced LED light therapy/LLLT in Sweden and Europe. As pioneers in the industry, we opened the door to a natural and effective treatment method that strengthens the body's own healing and recovery.

From the start, we collaborated with elite athletes, national equestrian teams, and leading sports professionals to develop and refine our methods, and to ensure that we offer the most advanced treatments on the market.

Launch of Photizo Professional in Europe – a milestone for professional LED treatment.

Photizo Professional launched in Europe

In 2009, we launched Photizo Professional in Europe, marking a new milestone in our history. The product quickly became a first choice for professional therapists and sports medicine clinics thanks to its proven effectiveness and ease of use.

A few years later, we also introduced Photizo Vetcare, adapted for the treatment of horses, dogs, and other animals – an area where LED light therapy has proven particularly valuable for quick recovery and preventive wellness treatment.

ModelLight AB is taking shape

In 2024, Malin took the leap to work full-time with Marcus, marking the start of ModelLight AB. With a shared focus on quality, product development, and customer relations, the company is now ready to grow in step with a rapidly evolving international market in photobiomodulation.

Today, we offer a proven product range with service, repairs, and spare parts – as well as trade-ins and sales opportunities. Through the ModelLight training portal, we give our customers access to a unique knowledge base with tips, advice, and instructional videos.

For us, it goes without saying that we offer more than just a product. We develop our own products from scratch, with research and many years of experience as our foundation, in close collaboration with engineers and carefully selected ambassadors. Our ambition is not to follow the market – but to define it.

Unlike many other players, we choose not to work with standardized solutions. Each product is the result of meticulous development work where technology, design, and function are precisely balanced. Research, for example, shows the importance of controlling heat development during treatment with red and infrared light. Our products are therefore designed to deliver optimal energy levels without unwanted heat – a crucial factor for achieving the best possible treatment results.
